Lovely afternoon

After surviving with just 4 hours of sleep for the past 2 days, i finally KO and declared MC today.

Felt so tired waking up at 5+am, going to work, school, attending the reception, only to come home at 9+ or 10+ pm the past 2 days.

Was video conferencing with Hui yesterday night cause he's out of town for work again. Its slightly longer this time, quite sian, but can't be help. I can't imagine how sian i will be if he really goes for the conference this end of year!

Anyway Hui was showing me this water bottle he bought for me!!
I lost my old plastic bottle months ago and wanted to get a Sigg bottle, find it way too expensive and i would rather spend that money on clothes, LOL..
so now i'm really happy cause Hui was so sweet to buy me this bottle!! Very cute!!
I have really learnt to appreciate the little things Hui has done for me, even just a packet of famous amos is good enough to make me happy. It's really not the price of the item but the thoughts that count..
The little things we do is something that keep us all going.. :)

Then i 'collected' my birthday present from my bro and sis last week!!
They bought me a motivational book and a coach wristlet! I really love the wristlet cause its in my favourite colour combi. white and gold!
My bro loves motivational book, so he bought me this hoping to inspire me a little. LOL
I went Coach website to surf and realised that they got really sweet and nice designs this season!

Presenting to you my Prof Maxus.. everyone who saw this picture agrees that he looks very smart here. :P

I'm really looking forward to the Bali trip this Saturday, have finally get my ass down to do some research and i have more or less settled the places we will be visiting!

Decided to get a private driver to fetch us around for 2 days since my hotel package has already included 1 day trip on Day 2. Can't visit too much places since we are going for only 3D2N, can only try my best to maximise the trip! Can't wait to try the horse riding too!!!

I'm concluding another chapter of my life and moving on to the next one.
Was pretty emotional about it and i do doubt my own decision, cause i'm really attached to the place and the friendships i have developed.
Many thoughts have been running through my mind, i'm constantly thinking about what i can say when i'm giving my farewell speech, i'm pretty sure that i will start to tear that day. People come and go, there's a saying that 天下没有不散的宴席, i'm sure the memories we had will definitely stay forever.

I'm trying to kill some time while waiting for Hui to come back..
He brought his car for servicing and here i am with a growling stomach and the nicely groomed Maxus boy!

I'm still really confused and troubled by my decision, no plans for Bali yet cause i'm really lazy to research on it.

Still lemming for the interlocking CC bag!!!! Very much!! LOL

My stomach is calling for Milk tea, Po-luo buns and Pork chop noodle!!

Lili and i went to check it out yesterday cause the stock just came it, its an absolutely gorgeous pair of earrings!!
She bought it, but i didn't! Out of my budget this month. :(

I'm back to blog about my 23rd Birthday Celebration this year!
It isn't really a big celebration, but i really enjoyed myself at the dinners and lunch.. Hehe..

Prior to my actual birthday, Carol treated Melissa and i to Jack's Place for lunch!
And then Wed was my birthday dinner with my mum, bro and sis at Sakura, Compass point!

Ok so while Hui was napping yesterday afternoon, i googled and found this Mexican Restaurant, El Toro, located at Winsland Conservation House! The rating on hungrygowhere was pretty good, so i decided to give it a try!

We reached there at around 7.30pm and the place was quite empty still..
We chose an outdoor seat and started to snap some photos while looking through the menu!

Ordered a calamari as appetizer and Paella as main..
Wanted to order 1 more main course, but the waiter was kind enough to 'stop' us cause he said that the serving of the Paella is quite big..
True enough, we were both damn full after the meal! Hahaha..
I also got a free chilli chocolate cake on the house cause it was my birthday! :P
The food is really nice!! Tasty and the price is not that expensive as well!
A great place to chill cause its just 1 bus stop away from Somerset station and yet quiet enough to chit chat with friends.. :)

I swear i didn't expect Hui to buy me this cause it costs so much more in Spore and i initially settled for a BCBG Watch instead. But because of an impromptu trip to ION Miu Miu 2 weeks ago, i got this bag which i have been lemming for since 2007! Haha..

I chose this colour over the seasonal colour cause its more classic looking and wouldn't get dirty easily.. The seasonal colours were all the pastel colours, very sweet and nice, but i think its wiser to get a 'classic' colour given that i don't quite know how to take care of my bags!

I'm blogging on my birthday!! Hahaha.. How sad huh..
But nvm! Hui was nice enough to order Macdonald Breakfast Deluxe for me this morning!
Therefore, i'm still very full even till now! :P

He's having his afternoon nap, so i'm making use of the time to do my laundry, do some last minute check on hungrygowhere to look for places for dinner tonight!

I wanted something cheap and nice today cause Hui has splurge quite a bit on me this year. LOL..

I'm really very happy to see all the wishes from everyone..
However, my birthday wish this year is something different, the 'thing' that i really want is not something anyone can buy, i shall reveal it if things go well!

First Post for 2010

It has been so long since i last posted something on my blog..
I really wanted to finish my holiday post and start blogging about phuket and tokyo/hokkaido.. But i guess i don't have this luxury to upload pic by pic and pen down all my thoughts anymore..

We made the decision which not everybody could accept, which is to quit the bloody UOL and change to RMIT instead. A major decision, but i'm glad we took this step. Though we have projects, assignments and test to cope, but the stress wasn't that horrible as compared to UOL.

The later half of 2009 was like a mad rush for me..
Though we weren't schooling for that few months, but i have been really busy everyday, don't ask me why, i have no idea too. LOL

Then we went phuket on Nov 2009 which was a very fun trip for us!
A very different experience from the usual city holiday..
We went snorkelling, island hopping, ride a bike illegally, went for monkey/snake shows and ride a ATV too!

December came and it was Xmas and everybody was getting ready to count down to 2010!
Xmas 2009 was very special for me cause we spent it overseas with Hui's parents.
Tokyo wasn't that WHOO-WAH to us anymore and Hokkaido is a really pretty place worth visiting!

2010 is our 10th year anniversary and there wasn't a big celebration that day, we just got back from Japan and were both pretty broke by then. Hahaha..
A simple dinner at My Humble House and that pretty much sums up our 10th anni..

Hui left his previous job and now i'm trying to get used to his busy schedule..
I hope for more holidays this year and in the meantime at least i have Bali in May to countdown to!

I will try to finish on my Taiwan trip cause i have it all archived under the unpublished post..

Sixth Day of Taiwan Trip!

We booked another day tour on Day 6 of our trip with Mr Meeky Yang to explore the ourskirt of Taipei! I was too lazy to plan the route myself, therefore, i took the recommendation from forum as well as from the blog mentioned below! Hehe..
Mr Lu and Mr Meeky are both highly recommended tour guides!
The both of them are very nice and actually "knew" each other through tourists like us who engaged both of their service! :)

We woke up pretty early that morning to have our breakfast before meeting Mr Meeky at around 8.30am outside the hotel! We recognised him by the Lion logo paste on his taxi! LOL.. He was really punctual and we managed to set off on time!

We did some self intro and Hui started to talk about Taiwan politics with Mr Meeky!

We reached Yehliu Geopark (野柳地质公园) at around 9+ am, bought the entrance tickets and started exploring! Sad to say, the weather was very humid and stuffy that day, we were both pretty irritated by the weather and partly because Hui forgot to bring alot his extra batteries which he left in the car, we took a few quick shots and left the park! LOL

We managed to find most of it, but i think we missed out 1 or 2 of the stone formation :(

We left the park in less than 1 hour and started to shop around the souvenir area where we bought some cold drinks to cool down and a few packets of really tasty cuttlefish!!

Mr Meeky then stopped by this 檳榔 (Betal Nut) stall where he bought a small cup of 檳榔 for us to try! I didn't want to try initially cause i heard from my colleagues that the aftertaste is really bad and one of them even got diarrhea after eating it!
But i was persuaded by Hui that since we are holiday-ing, i should try things that can't be bought and find in Spore! The 檳榔 has a very 'dry' taste, but the dried starfruit that came with it makes the taste so much better. I chewed on it for less than 2 seconds before spitting out everything into the cup! LOL

Though its not something that i will want to try again, but its definitely an experience for me! :)

Our next stop was JiuFen (九份)!

Mr Meeky told us that this is one of the famous bakery in Taipei that sells nice Feng Li Shu and Tai Yang Bing!

The shops that sells many animal prints products! I bought the mousepad and files from this shop!

Hui's all time favourite! Smelly beancurd!

The guidebook i brought along recommended this shop! So we decided to give it a try!

Next stop was to 黄金博物园区!

The Jap style house that was rebuilt several times due to the stormy weather!

This is the shop where i bought my pretty umbrella! The guy even jumped and stepped on his umbrella to show how durable it was! LOL

We went to this museum which allow us to tour around and have a feel of how the workers used to mine under the ground!

And everyday before the workers knock off, there will be a guy standing outside to check their pockets!

Next few stops are some tourist spots for photo-taking!

It started to drizzle right after we finished taking photos! The weather wasn't good, so the view of 阴阳海 wasn't that obvious and nice! :(

Second last stop was to Keelung 廟口夜市!
I saw this night market featured on 时尚玩家 a few times!
Its main attraction is food, not much apparel stalls around..
It was drizzling and therefore we did not managed to get a good picture of the night market entrance!

We left Keelung at around 7pm and got Mr Meeky to drop us off at Breeze Centre @ Zhong Xiao to pick up my Kenneth Cole bag! Hehehe..
I was really tired and slept on the cab, while Hui chit-chatted with Mr Meeky all the way! Breeze Centre is pretty much like our Takashimaya, mostly atas brand.. LOL

We were both pretty tired by 10+pm and we got to wake up really early the next day to catch our bullet train to Alishan! So we took a train back to our hotel, bought 2 Macdonald's meals as supper and that marks the end of our Day 6! :)

Day 7: Trip to 阿里山!

Fifth Day of Taiwan Trip

Day 5: Day Trip to Hualien (花莲) - Taroko National Park (太鲁阁国家公园) & Cingshui Cliff (清水断崖) and Shi Da Night Market (师大夜市)

Took out one day of our stay in Taipei to visit Hualien!

We called Mr Lu the morning before we left Singapore to book the day tour in Hualien, Mr Lu was already booked that day, so he assigned us his partner to show us around instead! :)

We bought our train tickets to Hualien on the second day of our trip!
Booked the train that departs Taipei around 7+am in the morning, coming back around 6 - 7pm in the evening. We called Mr Lu right after we bought our tickets to let him know what time we'll be arriving in Hualien, so he can pick us up on that day.

The train tickets cost around S$35/pax.

We woke up very early that morning, washed up and rush to the train station cause i read on forum that the train leaves on the dot! Bought our breakfast from 7-11 and off we go to Hualien!

The train is really clean and comfy!

Was really tired cause we slept around 1-2am the night before..

Arrived at Hualien around 9 - 10am and Mr Lu and his partner were already waiting at the gate! I regretted using the toilet at Hualien train station cause it really stinks! So bad that i nearly vomitted!

Mr Lu then brought us to his partner's taxi and off we go to our first stop which is to purchase our Bento Box for lunch! :)

We then head over to our first sightsee spot which is the Cingshui Cliff (清水断崖)!
The sun wasn't particularly bright that day, but i have no idea why we still couldn't open our eyes big for the picture! LOL
Colour and picture quality wasn't that good because of the kuku lens Hui bought and the foggy weather!

We then make our way up to Taroko National Park!

The uncle decided to stop at the Taroko National Park Visitor Centre for us to have our lunch first as its already near 12 noon. I was really looking forward to it cause the Bento Box looks really good! It came with a free soup which tasted very nice as well, not the kind of MSG soup you get in Spore! lol..

We bought a bottle of lemon tea which tasted very nice!! I realised that when you travel overseas, everything you try seems to taste so much better than in Spore! wah haha..

After lunch, it was time for us to explore the main section of Taroko National Park!

Though we have the car to ferry us around, but please do bear in mind that walking is still unavoidable! Hahaha..
We were brought to see the rocks and mountain formation (mountain which looks like king kong, fish and even elephant! lol) which were really interesting and not something you can see and experience everyday.
Somehow it will just make you feel more relax and truly enjoy the nature and escape temporary from the hectic lifestyle back in city.

Mr Lu managed to catch up with us in the middle of our 'tour' and he brought along his couple group to explore the park tgt! We were then left at this few KM long pathway where we were supposed to walk right to the end to a cave, with the help of a few torchlights! There're a few caves which are pitch dark and feels really cold!! There're even bats hanging right above your head (we didn't realised until Mr Lu told us to look up)! -_-"

We finally arrived at the Water Curtain Cave and that's when Mr Lu got us to change into the raincoat and brought us in! The water is extremely cold and there're tadpoles and frogs hiding in some corners! We have to walk in the cold water and on the small stones which got me screaming all the way. LOL

The water was icy cold! But yet there are some boys soaking themselves in the water and running round the cave! The after-feeling of the walk was damn good! Cause the ache and pain on both my legs went away! :)

After this, we washed up and make our way back to the car.
I don't why but when we were walking towards the cave in the afternoon, the journey feels damn long and tiring, but then as we were walking back to the car in the evening, the whole distance seems so much shorter and the time taken feels like it has been shorten by half!

The fun time always end so fast!

But anyway, before we head back to Taipei, our guide brought us to the famous muah-chee shop! We bought tonnes of muah-chee back and i swear its damn nice!
Totally different from the ones you eat during CNY!
Everyone who tried the muah-chee gave thumbs-up for it!
We bought a total of 13 packets of single flavour and 2 boxes of assorted flavour muah-chee back!! Damn kiasu i know! Hahaha..

Please visit this muah-chee shop if you ever travel to Hualien!

We bought the famous 葱油饼 and 小籠包 to eat on the train!
Both were really nice but the 葱油饼 was abit too oily. Hehe..

LOL..

We reached Taipei around 9+pm and rushed down to 师大夜市!
Alighted the train at 台电大楼 station and asked around before we could find the night market!
This night market is made up of some small shops and some food stalls, its pretty small but we did managed to get a few good buys here!

Was really tired by 10+pm and since most the shops have closed and we were both not hungry, decided to head back to our hotel to have a good rest! :)

Fourth Day of Taiwan Trip

Day 4: Zhong Xiao Dun Hua (忠孝敦化) / Zhong Xiao Fu Xing (忠孝复兴) /

WuFenPu Last minute shopping

Our first stop for the day was to look for a place to have La Mian for our breakfast!

Wanted to visit Ding Tai Feng since it originated from Taiwan, but i read from a blog that most locals visit another restaurant called 高記 instead and not knowing that Singapore does have a few outlets as well, silly me told Hui that we should try something different and not try something that Singapore already have. And so, we gave Ding Tai Feng a missed!

Had a hard time searching for the shop, because i didn't do enough research and the guidebook we got didn't help as well. Ended up getting help from the Visitor Centre located at one of the MRT station to ask for directions. :(

We took more than 30 minutes to find the restaurant!
As recommended by the blog, 高記 is patronise by more locals than tourist.
But i think otherwise, because when i passed by the Ding Tai Feng located in Sogo, the queue and crowd was so much better than 高記's!

I was really disappointed when the waiter told me that they don't serve La Mian, so we went ahead and ordered the supposedly famous Xiao Long Bao and a plate of 生面..

I would say that the Xiao Long Bao is really nice! But the 生面 really sux! LOL..
The price wasn't cheap either, Ding Tai Feng is slightly cheaper than this restaurant i think.

Our next stop was to look for my Jill Stuart Cosmetic!
According to the Jill Stuart website, they have a counter at the Sogo located at 忠孝 area! But sad to say, they have shifted out, but still i managed to get my Shiseido skincare and my Brappers Jeans from Sogo!

The Jill Stuart counter is located at 新光三越信義新天地A8館 (位于捷运板南线出口), Level 1!

I was so happy to see the counter cause i have been looking forward to grab as much of their product as possible! I love pretty packaging! The perfume smells really nice too!!!

We left the mall in the afternoon after some massive shopping!
Decided to stop and rest at this small roadside stall to let Hui satisfy his craving for 臭豆腐!

We then continue our 'journey' and explored the 忠孝 area. Its a few small streets connected together with rows of small shops.. But the stuff there are pretty expensive!

We were both quite tired by the time we finished exploring, so i decided to follow the guidebook recommendation and look for the famous Pork Rib Noodles which Andy Lau loves as well (according to the book, hehe)!

Its the restaurant with yellow signboard in the picture!

The Pork Rib noodle soup is really very nice!!! Highly recommended if you love this kind of La Mian!! It cost about SGD5 or maybe cheaper, can't remember the pricing already. :)

After finishing our late lunch, we headed down to 国父纪念馆!
Its really easy to go, just stop at 国父纪念馆 station and follow the signages! LOL

After relaxing and exploring around the compound, we decided to rush down to Taipei 101 Observatory Tower, hoping to snap a few photos of the sunset!!

Directions:
Take the 南港 line and alight at 市政府 station which is just one stop away from 国父纪念馆 station. Exit the station and head over to the bus stop where you can take a free shuttle bus to Taipei 101!

We waited for 30-45 minutes for the bus, not sure of the frequency of this free shuttle, but you could take this bus to and fro from Taipei 101.

After the tour around Taipei 101, we went down to the mall and shop around and thats where Hui bought his Kenneth Cole shoes and where i spotted the bag!
It's a pity that we didn't have enough time to explore New York New York shopping centre! Cause Hui wanted to return to WuFenPu to exchange his tshirts! Hehe..

Third Day of Taiwan Trip

Day 3: National Palace Museum (故宮博物院) / Ximending (西门町) / Dan Shui (淡水) / 渔人码头

Our first stop for the day was 故宮博物院!
Our mission there was to look for the famous Jadeite Cabbage and Meat-shaped Stone in the museum!! LOL..

Directions to get to NPM (credits to http://taiwan2009.wordpress.com):
- Take MRT to Shilin (士林) Station, go out from Exit 1
- Then take bus Red 30 directly to the NPM
- To return to Shilin Station, take bus 255 or 304 from the bus-stop outside the NPM open plaza

We were not allowed to take pictures inside the museum, that explains why the photos shown here are all taken outside the museum. Hehe..

I have to admit that after awhile i do find the museum quite boring, cause frankly speaking, i'm not the kind who really knows how to appreciate these stuff..
But i'm really amazed when i saw the 2 famous jade! Its truly amazing how they can create jade that looks like that!!

Hui said that he was "conned" at this shop because he don't find the ice-cream nice, LOL..

After some shopping, we decided to look for the famous Oyster Mee Sua for our dinner!

The taste was abit different from the one in S'pore, its not bad, but this wasn't the best thing i ate in taiwan.. Hehe..
Hui prefer this taiwan version of Oyster Mee-Sua, because he doesn't like the one selling in Singapore's Shilin Xiao Chi stall.. Hehe..

We went back to our hotel to put our stuff and rushed down to 淡水!

Directions:
To get there, you have to take the red line and alight at the last stop which is 淡水 station! :)

It's a pity that we wasn't there in the evening, missed out the chance to take a day shot of the place, as well as the sunset at 渔人码头! :(

As recommended by the guide book, the must try in 淡水 is the fishball and this tofu dish! Sorry i can't remember the name already! Getting old.. Hehe..

I didn't like the fishball cause it wasn't as 'Q' as the ones i ate in S'pore! LOL

But the tofu dish is really nice! A very simple dish which tasted good!

I kept thinking that the famous mua-chee my colleague ask me to try was in 淡水, hence, i went around searching for some different kind of mua-chee and ended up at this shop..

The lady boss said that their mua-chee was made of milk instead of the normal flour, thinking that i have found the right one, i bought the peanut mua-chee and red bean soup mua-chee! LOL..

It tasted abit weird but it wasn't awful at all! The texture is abit like custard, but yet it still sticks together.. LOL..

First few mouth of it, i quite like the taste, but after awhile, it became quite SIAN! LOL.. but we tried our best to finish as much as we could!

There was a heavy rain when we were on our way to 渔人码头, was pretty upset cause the wind nearly blew the umbrella away!! LOL..

I was damn frustrated and was in no mood to take photos!
Luckily, after like 30mins later, the rain went away and i told Hui to snap some photos asap and get out of the place! My experience there wasn't a good one all because of the rain! Hehe..

We boarded the bus which took us back to Dan Shui interchange and we took the train and went back to our hotel. Another long and tiring day! :)

Second Day of Taiwan Trip

Day 2 (21 June 09, Sunday) - Taipei Storyland / CKS Memorial Hall / WuFenPu / RaoHe Night Market

Had our breakfast in the hotel and then head over to the train station to collect our bullet train tickets and to purchase the Taroko Express train tickets to Hualien!

We head over to 台湾故事馆 after that. The whole place was modelled like an old school taiwan, quite fun but really cool!

Our lunch! "Dan dan mian" and Pork Chop rice!

After which, we went over to Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall!

Left the place at around 1+pm for 五分埔 (WuFenPu)!!
We took the MRT (Blue line) towards 南港站 and alighted at 後山埤站 and walked about 5-10 minutes to reach there. Alternatively, you can take the 铁路 from Taipei Main Station and alight at 松山车站, it's only 1 stop away from Taipei Main Station, a much faster way to get to 五分埔!

We spend the rest of the day at 五分埔, overall, its quite a nice place to shop and although its supposed to be a wholesale shopping area, the prices are comparable to Shilin! Most of the clothes are going for NT350 (approx S$16) and the korea clothes are about S$30+!!

We then head over to 饶河街观光夜市 to check it out and for our dinner!

We came across a few pet shops and spotted a few 'funny looking' dogs.. hehe

We got the 铜锣烧 coated with Honey syrup and another with Sesame paste!

Bought the 胡椒fried crab and famous 胡椒餅 back to the hotel as supper!

Our last stop for the day, Cosmed drugstore to get my Shiseido MM eyeshadows and 我的美丽日记面膜! Bought the facemask at NT380 (approx S$17) for 2 boxes!

End of Day 2!

I'm missing all the late nights in Taipei! Combing all the night market as fast as we could, trying all the famous food as much as possible! :D

First Day of Taiwan Trip!

Day 1 (20 June 09, Saturday) - Singapore to Taipei

Our flight was about 1.50pm and we reached the airport at around 12pm..
Shopped around DFS, Hui bought a Gio Armani perfume and we went to try our luck at the sure win lucky dip! Won this Disney travel pillow which prove to be really useful cause i carry it with me during the flight and on the Alishan Forest train! Its really good in preventing neck ache!

Our $8 Nasi Lemak bought on board, i have to say that the taste is not bad!!

We reached Taipei at around 7pm, collected our luggage and headed to the right hand side of the arrival hall to sign up for the Youth Card! I got to know about the Youth Card from a girl's blog, its useful cause it has got discount for the entrance fee to several places! But its a pity that we only managed to use it at 国立故宫博物院.

Most of the people taking the Airport Express Bus to City would have chosen Freego, but Hui read somewhere that to get to Taipei Main Station, its better to take "Guo Guang" airport bus instead. And its a few NT dollars cheaper than Freego! Hahaha..
(For info: the airport buses are located at the left hand side of the hall)

Met 2 really friendly Taiwanese girls on the bus!
Chit-chat with them and got them to recommend us some must-trys in Taiwan!

We reach Taipei Main Station about 45minutes later, collected our luggage and head straight to our hotel! We alighted at the back of the station instead of the front, so we did a detour and walk towards the main street.

Surprisingly, we met the 2 taiwanese girls again and they were both really kind to show us the way to our hotel! We even exchange our MSN contacts!
Happy to make new friends from Taiwan!! :)

Our Taipei hotel for 6 nights!

The location is great (Exit Z6 from Taipei Main Station) and the hotel staff were pretty friendly! Overall, I quite like the hotel and the room, only thing i dislike about it is that the toilet looks rather old and they don't provide brand new bedroom slippers!! Argh!!

After checking in, we headed straight to Shilin 夜市!
Shilin 夜市 is located at 剑潭 (Jiantan) station and not 士林 (Shilin) station, pretty weird huh..

The first food we had in Taipei was the 臭豆腐!
Second was my favourite!! 大肠包小肠!! This was the first and sadly also my last time eating this, the 2nd time we went back to Shilin, i didn't have the time to eat it again.. :(

Its sausage wrap with glutinous rice, top with some salted vegetable and pickles!
I swear it taste damn good!!

Then we had the bbq squid and bought a big cup of papaya milk which taste really nice to quench our thirst!

The Taiwanese really love their dogs!! So much that they bring them anywhere and everywhere! To the night market, train, bus, even to Sun Yat Sun memorial hall! etc.. LOL

Hui and i bought alot on the first night!

I got quite a number of cheap and pretty dresses from the illegal stalls lined in between the 2 rows of shops in Shilin, 2 dresses for only NT380 (approx S$15 only!!)
I went to some other shops and saw the same dresses selling for NT350 per piece!

Got some really pretty but expensive hair accessories, earrings and necklaces as well!

We thought the last train will arrived at 1am, but when we rushed over, the station was already closed! Wanted to shop more, but since its only our first night, we thought it would be better if we were to go back to the hotel and get some rest! Hehe..
Took a cab back to our hotel and it cost NT200 (approx S$9.10) inclusive of the midnight charge! Their midnight charge is only an additional of NT20, unlike ours which cost so much!

Thats the end of Day 1!

Next would be Day 2: Taiwan 故事馆, 中正纪念堂, WuFenPu and Raohe night market!

I cried on Wednesday night after i told Hui i don't wanna go for my paper on Thursday!

Very silly i know, cause i have a choice, but i'm the one who chose not to go.

But i just can't explain the kind of feeling i have in me, very confused, very stressed up and very upset.

Its the same kind of feeling i have when i was Primary5 and my form teacher told me that i was demoted to EM2 cause i wasn't good enough to stay in EM1. I was so scared and upset that i hid inside the toilet and refused to go home!

But anyway, its all over now. Its officially Friday and i'll be back at work.

Its 29days to Taiwan!!
I haven't plan anything yet cause my mind is all about online shopping! Hehehe..

I just feel so sian that i need to study for tomorrow's paper!
4.47pm now and i have yet to finish my first chapter. Guess i'll have to burn midnight oil to complete the 4-5 chapters i intend to study for tomorrow's exam.

Sigh! I feel so sian about this whole degree thing, i don't even feel like studying anymore. If it wasn't because diploma was just a piece of useless paper, i would have gave up right from the start.

I don't even know if RMIT is a right choice. Or should i just go Kaplan?
1.5years and i'll get my degree..

This is the most screwed up period of my life.
I never felt this bad and so upset with myself before.

I chose the wrong school, lost hope in all my papers, have thoughts of quitting school, thoughts of giving up the whole idea of taking a degree, but then i concluded that Diploma is just another useless sheet of paper. So i continue with my struggling and now, i finally decided that its time that i do a transfer.
But what if i chose the wrong path again?

I wasted 1 year of my time and my year1 school fee!!
I could have bought tonnes of stuff with $8k eh!

Argh, f*** it.

I have got no mood to study..
Probably because of the two killer papers which i had been through the last two days... Sigh!

I have made up my mind on transferring out of UOL after the exams, i hope that it would be a right choice. This time round, i will definitely asked around before i make any decisions!

Ok now its time for my "Confession for being a Shopaholic" these few weeks..

I have been crazily doing online shopping these few weeks (i know i have been mentioning this in my last few post, but i just cant stand myself, so i'm here to complain about my own spending again.. :P)

Though its not something new to people who knows me, but i seriously can't tahhan my own spendings lately!! Perhaps its because i have been 'lock up' at home for such a long time, online shopping is the only way of stress relief..

But frankly speaking, everytime i received a parcel from the postman, the feeling is damn good! Its as if you are unwrapping a Christmas present, anticipating whats inside it!! Hahaha..

Within these few weeks i have bought like 10 dresses, 4 tops, 2 jackets, 1 bag, 1 cardi from GG5 (lovely piece i found with Jess at parkway GG5!!) and a pair of nude pumps!! And its not even CNY eh, don't understand why am i spending so much.. It must be the exams ah!!! Thanks to UOL!

Okay, there gona be blogshops updating today and tomorrow..
I hope there's nothing nice! Otherwise my money will be spent to relieve my exams stress again!!

Alright, i will try to start revising for my Maths paper on Tues!

Hui parents will be flying off to China tonight, it will be Home Alone for the 3 of us (including Maxus) for the next 9 days! :(

I really regretted not getting down the coach back then when we were at the Great Wall! Maybe because i was young, i didn't know how to appreciate such stuff!
And i kept hearing from Hui that shopping in Shanghai and snow-ski in Beijing is damn shiok! I wouldn't mind visiting Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou again!
I read from forum that shopping in Guangzhou is cheap and good, cause you can find stuff selling at Far East Plaza at a fraction of the price! The shoes cost about S$3-4 there?

Today is my first paper and i'm already feeling so dead!

Was supposed to answer 9 questions out of the 16, 17 qns, but guess what!?
I only managed to answer 4 questions and all 1/2-3/4 done!

I think i gona screw up this POA paper!!
First time taking POA and this is the kind of shit i got, i wonder why some people loves POA!! Brr!!

Statistics paper tomorrow, i need loads and tonnes of luck!!

I don't know why, but i'm not as gan chiong and worried as i used to be, as compared to my Sec sch and Poly days, where i used to study hard and have the sense of urgency! I can't believe that i take my own sweet time to complete the POA paper even after knowing that i'm left with 30mins! What the hell is wrong with me!?

I'm gona transfer out of UOL should i fail 2 or more subjects out of my 5 papers!
First time in my life, i feel like giving up my studies..

Online shopping works wonder during exam period!!

I burnt a big hole in my pocket this month because of the excessive online shopping!!
But i have to say again, Bonito stuff are really pretty!!
I have gotten myself quite a number of dresses and tops, getting ready for 22 May to come, so i can dress up for work again!! I'm trying to wear more dresses from now on!

5 weeks of leave aren't that enjoyable afterall, cause i have to stay at home and mugged all the way!! I would rather go to work!

I can't imagine the mess and damages my colleagues have done to my desk while i'm away.. It's not fun when you have to clear up and search for your belongings after a long leave!! But still, i miss everyone in office!!

I wasted the whole of Thursday reading forums and aniticipating Bonito's update!

For now, i can only look forward to the dinner at Grand Mecure Roxy with Hui's family tonight, followed by Wolverine with the group and Friday's dinner at Goodwood Park with Hui's family again!
I sound as if i have no papers on next Thurs/Fri.. So carefree huh? :P

Can't wait for my exams to be over!!
**but at the same time, i'm afraid that its coming cause i haven't done much reading! shucks!!

Nancy's 23 and Maxus' Bad day..

I have been diligently updating my blog, not because i have nothing to do, its because i got distracted every now and then to use the internet!!

Since it has already past midnight, today will mark the 5th day of my study leave.. I have to say that i have not wasted these few days, cause i really did study, but the shit thing is, after so long, i'm still revising my POA! I will need to buck up and 'complete' my POA stuff before moving on to my stats, econs, maths and finally my IBM! Sometimes i do feel that UOL sux!

On a happier note, the group celebrated Nancy's 23 on Wednesday, 22 Apr at Coffee Club!
It was a simple dinner, but i hope our birthday girl had enjoyed herself.. :)

It was a bad day for Maxus!
We had wanted to sterilise Maxus since last year, but have delayed it several times because i couldn't bare to.. Finally, Maxus decided to pee on the sofa AGAIN on Wed and Hui decided that its really time to sterilise him.. Though we know it wouldn't make much difference to his behaviour, but we are just hoping that it will become better..

Left him at the vet at around 10am and then we decided to make a short trip to JB to pump petrol and have my favourite bak kut teh! Wanted to get the face mask from Face Shop, but i realised the price wasn't alot different as compared to S'pore.. (Charlene ah, why you bluff me!! :P) LOL

Had wanted to shop for shoes at Vincci as well, but couldn't find the kind i want and the sandals i wanted didn't have my size as well.. :(
I'm looking around for nude pink pumps! I don't mind paying abit more for one cause i think pumps would usually last me for years!! hehe..

We reached home at about 3pm, took a nap before fetching Maxus at about 7pm..

My poor boy which looks so sad after the operation...

The day before, he was still happily squeezing himself into the gap in between the table...

Day 1 of my study leave

Today is officially the day 1 of Hui and my study leave!
(i'm on leave starting from today till 21 May!!)

But we totally wasted it by sleeping late last night and waking up only at 11am today, cause i was busy updating my blog with the birthday post, while Hui was busy checking out cameras online the night before!

A 'surprise' treat for Hui today at Body Contours @ Grand Mecure Roxy!!
Couple spa which includes a 60 minutes full body massage and 20 minutes jacuzzi!

I requested for a couple suite which looks like the picture attached below, except that the room we got was slightly smaller..

It was a pretty good deal cause i only paid $76 nett for the both of us during their roadshow at Novena!

We chose the Swedish massage and it was pretty good for me, but Hui complaint that the masseur didn't exert enough force, so he didn't find it fantastic.. But still, we were both pretty satisfied considering the price we paid..

As usual, after the whole thing ends, they promoted a few 'exclusive packages' to us.. 1 was a $688 package that consist of 10 sessions, while another was a starter kit package that cost $288 for 4 sessions, both includes a 60 mins full body massage + body polish + jacuzzi, it was quite a good deal, BUT we didn't take up any of it cause this wasn't a right time and Hui felt that we should explore other spas and not get tied down by them..

Okay, enough of my reviews, i shall get my books and start studying now!! :)

One Rochester and The Tea Party for my 22

Pre-celebration on 16 April 2009, Thursday

@ One Rochester!

It's somewhere which i have been wanting to go on our anniversary but didn't..
So i decided to go there for my birthday! :)

The ambience was nice and the whole area is made up of different sections, living room, garden, dining room, etc.. We chose the outdoor seat, cause i feel that the ambience would be much better..

And heres what we had for the day (decided to record this down, so i can remember what we had!):

-Classic French Onion Soup with Toast & Melted Gruyere Cheese (really special, have never tried onion soup before..)

-Grilled US Scallops with Tabbouleh & Cres Salad (really fresh and nice as well!)

-Bay Water Prawns in Tomato & Cream Sauce with Tagliatelle, Shaved Parmesan Cheese (average)

-Pan Roasted French Chicken Breast, Sautee Potato & Watercress Salad with Diane Sauce (average)

-Tiramisu (worth trying!)

We didn't realised that the distilled water is god damn expensive, so we ordered 2 bottles of the 300ml FIJI water which cost us $12!

We changed our seats after finishing our main course and got ourselves a cosy seat in the garden area! Ordered a glass of dessert wine together with the Tiramisu.. :)

One Rochester is a pretty nice place to chill and have dinner with your love ones, price was kind of steep, cause our bill came up to a total of $160+! With this price, i could have a buffet dinner at Shang instead! hehe..

But still, i enjoyed myself and would highly recommend this place for its ambience!

After we got into the car, he was busy getting things from the 2nd row and i thought he was digging for the camera bag! Who knows he took out the box from behind and said "Nah!".. I was real shock and started laughing.. LOL

I really love such design! A ring which is made up of small diamonds, rather than a single diamond in the middle..

I told Hui that few years later if he ever want to propose to me, he gotta make sure that he get a solitaire with small diamonds at both sides!! Wah hahaha

17 April 2009, Friday @ The Tea Party

I had class on friday, so decided to meet up with the group later in the night at The Tea Party located at Sixth Avenue Centre! The place was pretty cosy and nice, best of all, the parking is free!! Muah haha...

The price is pretty reasonable as well, $6+ for a pot of tea, $1 to refill water, $9.90 for pasta, $12.90 for pizza (the duck pizza is really nice!!) finger food for $5.90 onwards, scones for about $2!

They do have board games for us to play, but we were all to lazy, so the group just chit chatted till about 1.30am, before heading over to Carls Jr at ECP for another round of talk cork session.. hehe

We left Carls Junior only at 4am and by then we were all super seh..
Still, i really enjoyed myself and am really thankful to all who turned up! :)

I'm on leave today!

Was supposed to study, but i ended up vacuuming the floors and arranging some stuff in the room..

Apart from that, i ended up doing online shopping too! I really love Bonitochico's clothes!! Its either i don't get anything from a particualr collection or i'll get 2-3 items at one go, damn sinful!

I found a $10 GG5 voucher in my wallet as well! It gona expire on 15 Apr!!
I have converted from a big fan of Topshop to GG5!! hehe..

And now i still have a Charles and Keith 20% voucher valid for use on a single item and a one time 20% off for Pazzion shoes this month cause it's my birthday month.. How!?

So many things to buy but so little money!! :(

Met jess and nancy in the evening to catch Confession of a Shopaholic! Its pretty nice and i totally enjoy it! I see a bit of myself in the show! wah hahaha..

We shop around after the show, while Nancy left to meet Sean..
Had wanted to join Jess n Des for some Ah Chew dessert, but wasn't able to..

But still, its a short and enjoyable evening!! :)

Sat - 4 Apr 09
Attend the revision class as usual and then Hui and I head down to Bugis in the evening to get Hui's "lok kok kok" polaroid fix.. Walked around Bugis and decided to have our dinner at Ministry of Food!

Have heard of numerous good reviews about this restaurant, but the queue is always damn long! Lucky for us, there wasn't any queue that day!

I look damn ugly from this angle i know!! :(

As usual, i ordered the Nabeiyaki Udon, i'll have this almost everytime i patronise a jap restaurant.. Hui ordered the salmon bento set.. Both were not bad, but i guess for the price you are paying, sushi tei will be a much better choice!

Oh ya, there's a 10% discount for DBS/POSB card members!!

Have finally booked the Ali Shan Hotel today!
Lucky i booked it fast! Cause it was the last room available!

I'm finally done with the booking of the rooms, next will be the planning of the itinerary.. But i shall leave it till my exams are over.. :)

Hui got me a pair of MBMJ shades and a digital photoframe as my birthday present!
Both of it are something which i have been wanting to get!

I wanted a new pair of shades cause i don't like to fight with Hui over the current one and it was also because by getting this, both of us can have our own pair of shades to bring for the getaway in June! hehe..

And the digital photoframe was something which i wanted since last year!
My plan is to put it in office, so i can view all of my pictures everyday! :)

Don't think i'll have the time to celebrate my birthday since my revision class falls on most of the weekends...

I have been feeling so grumpy these days..

I have been complaining about the same old things these past few months..

I just can't help but to feel so irritated by alot of things, especially money issues!

And because i'm feeling so annoyed by so many meaningless stuff, i started to shop like crazy!
1 week+ after my payday and i have bought myself 2 dresses and 3 tops!
I have no idea why am i acting this way..

I'll check my yahoo mail trillion times per day just to see if there's any livejournal site which has updated! Then when i found one that has something i quite like, i'll order it immediately without thinking whether i should save the money for something else or not..

I just don't know what the hell is happening to me recently!

Sometimes i feel that my life is so screwed up..
I felt as though i'm living in a world where no one notices my existence..
I have been trying so farking hard to fit into a social circle and pretending to be part of it when i'm not..
Maybe its just me, i'm the one with the bad attitude, therefore, i'm always left out of the 'circle of trust'..

Sometimes i do hate my work and hate my life..

Life can be pretty depressing at times, don't you think so?

I tried to live my life to the fullest, i tried to stay happy..
But its tired to look happy in front of people all the time..
Its tired to pretend that 'my life is so wonderful when its not, not at all"..

Headed down to the Garang Guni flea near Sim Lim hoping to find the Vintage Polaroid Hui has been busy looking for these few weeks! Then to Clark Quay area, but we didn't know that the flea is held on Sundays, so it was a wasted trip for us..

Still it was nice waking up earlier on a Sat and exploring these little places which we won't usually go to on normal days.. Hehe..

Headed down to Parkway after that for our late lunch and then back home to wash up and get ready for dinner..

Fetch Hui's sis from her place and we went over to the Long Beach King Seafood at Kallang! The food was nice, but its a pity that we didn't order the crab..

Went back home after dinner and slack all the way, caught Reign Over Me at night with Hui..

The show wasn't as nice as expected, but still i enjoy watching movie at the comfort of our room! Hehe..

Today was my department's Green Day.. therefore, we were able to go off early!
Reached home at about 5.30pm and so here i am blogging, after the rubbish picking session at Kallang River!

Monday was a short day as well, left office after lunch for Marley and Me and Tues was spent at Suntec Carrefour stocking up some food for my office..

Another weekend yet again, i hope i would be more productive this weekend!! :)

Hui is happily sleeping now, cause he reached home even earlier than me!

Have no idea what to do later..
Will probably have our dinner and come back home for our stay home Friday Movie!
Loan the Identity and Reign Over Me DVDs from my office DVD collection..
Have caught Identity before, but have no idea what Reign Over Me is about.. I hope it will be nice!

Went down to the Bodyshop sales yesterday during lunch..
Didn't get much stuff except for a Strawberry Bodyscrub..
Was contemplating if i should get some shower gel as well, but decided not to eventually, cause i'm trying to keep to the "buy what i need and not what i want" plan! Hehe..

Met zhenqi and yingxi in the evening to shop for Cecilia's present..
Got her a bag from Charles & Keith, i hope she will like it!

And then i bought a dress from BYSI at Citylink not knowing that BYSI outlet at Capital Land Mall has a promotion going on! With a purchase of $50 and above, there will be a 30% cash rebate and a $10 voucher!! Felt so angry when i saw that mailer yesterday night, i shouldn't have been so 'kan chiong' and bought the dress from the Citylink outlet! Brr!!

The 3 of us had wanted to check out the Burberry sales as well, but was turn off by the long queue and our growling stomach! Hehe.. Therefore, we decided to stop shopping and fill our stomach with some Tom Yum at Thai Express!

Started to cam-whore after our dinner and theres this really-very-free waiter who offered his help to take a photo for the 3 of us! But i still think my camera's self-timer take better pictures! Hehe

We left at around 10+pm and i went over to the bus stop just outside the convention hall to wait for my bus. Was trying so hard to squeeze through the horrendous crowd!
Waited for my bus for 15mins to see that it was fully loaded when it reached suntec..
Lucky i called Hui and he got his parents to fetch me from Suntec, cause they were just around that area... Hehe..

Can't believe that its already the end of March Week 1!

Life is pretty boring nowadays, other than work, i'm basically trying very hard to get myself to study! I just can't force myself to sit down for 1-2 hours to read through the notes and practise all the past year exam questions!

Had wanted to go for all of the papers for the prelim, but in the end, we only went for the Econs paper and skipped the rest.. Very guilty i must say, but there is no point in me going, if i have not done any revision for those subjects..

Caught Marley and Me with Hui at Vivo on Thurs (5 March), had wanted to watch Watchmen, but dear Hui unknowingly selected Marley and Me instead, collected the tickets and went in to the cinema, not realising that we are watching another show, until the show begin..

But i was not disappointed, cause i have been wanting to watch Marley and Me! However, will be watching it tomorrow with my colleagues, therefore, its a little bit like a waste of money.. LOL

On Friday, we finally booked the right ticket and went over to PS to catch Watchmen.

I have to say that its a bloody boring show! Total waste of time and money!

Abt 2.5hours, i was trying hard not to sleep, cause i was anticipating that something woo-wah will happen! Who knows, it ended with a crappy ending.. The whole story has a HUH?-wth? plot.

And i can't believe that my birthday is only about 1 month+ away! It feels like its only weeks ago that i celebrated my 21st and now i'm turning 22.. sigh! getting old already..

Since my birthday is just 3 weeks before my exams, i guess i'll just have a simple celebration with the group / Hui / my family..

I can't wait for the exams to finish.. I want the holiday to come quickly!

I finally got Hui his Anniversary cum Vday present!

Like i told him, a watch would be the best thing for him, since he wears it everyday.. :)

Was deciding between 2 models and decided to get this Titanium Seiko eventually!
I must say that I'm really amazed at how light the watch is! (very suaku i know)

And the face is actually a lighter shade of grey, my camera couldn't capture the 'true colour' hehe.. i think that the grey watch face is pretty unique, since most of the watches have white or black face.. Hehe..

Had wanted to get him a Rose Gold Seiko, but after some serious consideration, i concluded that its way over my budget.. near $800 even after discount! :(

I'm still in the midst of researching for our Taiwan trip, i'm getting more and more excited as i read up about the place. Am pretty amazed that there's so much to do and the scenary looks pretty nice !!

Have booked the hotel in Taipei for 6 nights, therefore, now i have to settle the accomodation for the remaining 3 nights!

I hope the holiday can come faster, but that means its getting nearer to my exam dates!! (i hope i can pass!! :( )

Our 9th Anniversary was a simple one..

Had dinner at Uluru Aussie Bar & Steakhouse located at Duxton hill..

A quiet and pretty nice place.. but the food was so-so only.. :)

Sad to say, the both of us didn't take a picture together..

The busy boy talking on the phone with ZHIJUN! hahaha..

Hui and i shared a set meal, which comes with a Salad, Main and Dessert and i ordered another main course for myself.. :)

The total bill came up to approx $120.. not really worth it i would say..

And Hui surprised me with these! Didn't expect any pressie nor roses from him actually.. hehe.. surprisingly, he made a card for me and wrap the present himself!

As for me, i didn't get anything for Hui, cause he couldn't decide what he wants even till now.. -_-

I have been lemming for this charm bracelet watch for a long time..
But didn't bare to get it myself.. hehe

Like i said, this is a very simple celebration.. But still the company is what that matters.. :)

1st day of 2009

2008 has ended! This is how fast time flies...

2008 was the year i turned 21.. it was a really good celebration cause 95% of the ppl i invited came and i think i was really lucky to have so many ppl celebrating my bday with me! hehe..

My grandfather passed away on Vesak Day that weekend..
It was a shocking news for me.. but yet, i wouldn't say that i'm really sad cause he is 97 years old and theres a saying that for ppl who passed away after 80, who shouldnt feel sad cause its a kind of blessing..

Then my school started in July and thats when the xiong-ness comes in!
But still.. i'm glad that i'm approaching the end of my year 1!

I was not able to go for any long holidays, therefore 2008 ended with a roadtrip to KL/Genting in May, Bkk trip in June and Port Dickson trip during the Deepavali weekend!

It was also a year where i grew closer with my colleagues, i'm glad to have them and this makes me change my mind about job hopping... Hehe..

Okay, before i end my post, these are my goals for 2009!
1) To really start studying and clear all my 5 modules and passed with at least a B?

2) To slim down!! I need to loose at least 3kg for this year! I wouldn't set a high target cause i know i can never achieve it.

3) To spend more time with my own family

4) To cut down on my spending! Stop buying so much clothes so i can save for a holiday trip! LOL

5) To go Taiwan/HK with Hui in Aug/Sept

6) Avoid arguing with Hui over silly matters and have more bonding with him and maxus!

7) To have more dinner/shopping outings with my gfs! (Jess/Nancy/Jo, CC/Yingxi/Zhenqi and Chelle/Lene!!)

8) To huat 4D or Toto
(P.S.: I don't need to huat a few millions, just a few hundred Ks will be sufficient for me! i'm not greedy!! wah haha)

First post for the month of November!
Time really flies... in less than 2 months time, we will be in 2009!

I'm not sure why, but as people grow older, time seems to pass faster!
I haven't done much stuff in 2008 and now i'm entering 2009..

I do miss my poly days ever since i graduate and enter the workforce..
Though my Uni life has started for near 5 months+, but being a part time student, i don't have the chance to enjoy the freedom like how i use to in the past..

Looking at the graduation ceremony SIM has been holding these few months, it makes me feel like graduating too! Haha..
I really hope that i can graduate asap and within these 3 years of studies!
Though many people has been through this kind of life, but frankly speaking, its really not easy to juggle b/w work and studies.. and of course to strike a balance b/w work, play and studies..

Recently, i'm starting to think about graduation gift! Not for hui, but for myself!
Kinda crazy i know, since i'm only in my first year of studies..
But at least its something that i can look forward to.. Hehe

Hui and i have been occasionally DREAMing of going on a 'BIG' trip upon graduation..
But how 'big' and 'far' will this trip be? I wouldnt know..
Cause i dont even know if i have that money.. Haha..

But i really hope that i can get my degree by 2010 and graduate with a 2nd Upper!
Not easy i know, but if i can ever achieve that..
This will be the greatest achievement in my 20+ years of living.. Haha..

Sunshine Weekend at Port Dickson

I'm back to blog about the long weekend!

Hui and i set off for Port Dickson on sunday morning..
Woke up at 7am, had our breakfast at the coffee shop opposite his place and off we go for our mini road trip! Reached the custom at around 9am.. There was a slight jam, but lucky it wasn't that bad..

As this is the first time both of us are going there.. we can only follow the GPS to get to that place.. We drove through the 'old' road and it took us longer to reach the resort..
Not sure if i'm over sensitive or what, I have this feeling that there is a black car tailing us.. It was quite scary cause its only our car and that msia car and so Hui try to shake him off at one of the traffic junction... LOL..

We reach the resort at approx 1.30pm.. didn't stop throughout the journey, cause we thought it may be safer if we drive up all the way..

We couldnt check in until 3pm, so we had our late lunch at the Village restaurant in the resort.. the pasta cost abt S$16 on average.. It taste not bad.. but i wouldnt say its fantastic.. hehe..

After lunch, Hui and i check in to our room!

We then change into our swimming costume to get ready for some sea sport!
Went to check out the pools and surrounding, then decided to walk over to the beach..
The resort didnt have any banana boat or jetski service.. however they offer free 1/2 hour kayaking or boat paddling..

Hui and i got the resort guy to book an half hour jetski session with one of the uncle in charge.. Though its Hui n my first time riding on a jetski, we were free to ride it ourselves! It was really fun, cause we have never tried it before.. and its something Hui has always wanted to try.. We paid RM180 for a half hour session... its cheaper than s'pore, but not as cheap as those in phuket i think..

After the jetski, Hui and i went for the kayak and boat paddling, but gave up after a few mins, cause i prefer to soak in the pool.. wah hahaha..
Wanted to use the sauna, but the ladies side has no one inside!
And i told Hui i dare not stay inside alone... so we went over to the jacuzzi pool...

After which, we went back to our room, took the camera and went to take pictures of the sunset and the surroundings!
Went to get our free welcome drink (fruit punch) and headed out for seafood dinner!

We drove around and tried to look for places with more people and with singapore cars.. haha
Finally settled for this "Hao Hua" seafood restaurant...
The business is quite good but the serving was slow..
We ordered black pepper crab! Something which i have been craving for since months ago.. hehe

Overall the food was okay, just that the service kind of sux... we ordered 1kg of crabs and the lady boss suspect that the chef may have served us more than the actual serving, so they started walking round our table, trying to check out the exact number of crabs we have.. we even double checked with them if this was correct and the lady replied yes..

However, when we got the bill.. they charge us for more than a kg! we started arguing and i guess they have nothing much to defend themselves and started to tell us things like 'you already ate the crab, you cant possibly not paid for that.' and started to give the 'tsk tsk' look...

Its obvious that the fault lies on them, cause the order taker took the wrong order and the lady herself assured us that the crab is okay when they first served us!
we were quite pissed off but cant do much since we are not in spore..
The total bill came up to RM93.. kind of bo hua i felt.. but no choice! so ppl please avoid this restaurant when you visit Port Dickson in future!

After dinner, it was another round of cam-whoring in the room! :)

We headed back after dinner and decided to slp early so we can wake up on time to see the sunrise! But both of us were too tired, so we slept in till 7.30am before waking up for breakfast.. lol

The food served was not bad.. but there were loads of flies! Very irritating!!

We headed to the pool for a swim, took some photos and went back to our room to tan! Haha..

Explore the 2nd beach right beside our room and took some photos there as well!

We checked out at 11.45am, had wanted to head down to Mahkota Shopping at Malacca, but couldnt find it on the GPS.. So i told Hui that we might as well go down to Jusco Tebrau City instead..

Was very happy that i found Shiseido MM at the watsons! Initially i thought that it was only available at the citisquare outlet.. So when i saw it, i was really happy.. hahaha
And surprisingly, the pricing is almost the same as Japan! (and i think same as taiwan as well) and i think it may also be due to the conversion rate, its cheaper than Sg by a few dollars!

I can now get MM stuff from spore or msia! wont have to get them online or get ppl to buy for me anymore! Hehe..

The e/s colours are really nice! but not very pigmented i would say.. but still given the price, its definitely worth it! The mascara is good as well!

Ok to sum up the trip, i am really happy that Hui and i went for this little getaway..
It was truly a getaway that allow us to spend quality time together, unlike other trips where we tried to race against the time and wanting to shop as much as possible! Hehe..

We are hoping to visit Redang the next time if we have the spare cash and time!
And maybe Bora bora island in future when we go for our honeymoon! :)

Its been so long since i last updated about my weekend!

Woke up at 12 yesterday and headed down to Teo Heng with Hui for some 'K' session! Its been so long since we last 'K', so i thought might as well since we have nothing much to do also..

We booked the room from 1-3.30, but was only there at only 1.15pm and so we wasted our first 15mins!! Hehe

After which was katong laksa for our late brunch and then we went back home to get the car and headed down to Kovan..

I went to cut my hair, cause i couldnt stand my terrible split ends.. its so much shorter now! Hui wanted to check out his spoiler and grille, but the shop was closed.. so he went to tune his sound system before picking me up again..

We went down to PS after that, got zhijun's ticket and i managed to shop a little!
Hui wanted to get his Tomy toy car model, so we chiong down to Taka's toy department and meet up with the rest in orchard..

Caught Tropic Thunder in the night.. very lame show! But Tom Cruise looks so CMI in the show! haha..

We went Geylang for some dim sum after the movie and after the dim sum.. something 'horrifying' happened! Haha..

I got in the car first and smell something really stinky, i ask Hui whether he stepped on something and he said he didnt.. And so after the rest got in.. we drove off..
But after 1 minute.. there was some terrible smell coming from the back and then we realised.............

Jess stepped on some Dog/Cat/Rat shit while walking towards the car! LOL..
The smell is really WAH BUAY TAHHAN.. and everyone started laughing, cursing and swearing.. Muah hahaha
We decided to stop at the nearest Esso and got the car wash guy to wash the mat!
And lucky for us, the guy was kind enough to wash the mat for free! Heng ah!

And so, this is how i spent my Saturday.. Hehe..
Its a very random post.. I can't type a proper entry cause my brain ain't functioning well.. :D

Its 5.14pm now and i haven't even touch my lecture notes!
So much for the revision plan on Sundays! I need some motivation!!

Oh ya, i was very happy to see this on Facebook from Hui!! :)

Thats about it! I will be back to blog about Hui's bday steamboat and the mini 'surprise' at PS Cafe!

After using my spoilt E65 for near 6months, i finally bought my Omnia on saturday!

Decided to get it first before my current contract end on the 19th, cos i was afraid that the price may increase back to the original $798! Therefore, after the 19th, i will be using my new number! Hehe..

Decided to get the 8GB, cause i personally find that 8GB is really more than enough for my usage.. I can't even used up the space in my 1GB ipod, not to mention this 8GB phone!

But one thing that i didn't realised is that the 16GB one has silver trimming at the side! I personally find that it looks more classy, but Hui said that mine looks more mysterious... -_-

But i guess its a good buy afterall, cause they throw in free mini portable speaker, screen protector, as well as the GPS map for this 8GB omnia!

Adding on to that, i got a coach wristlet as my hp pouch!

Kind of silly i know, but since i have always wanted a coach wristlet plus i need a hp pouch. I decided to get that! But mine is the old design.. they have so many new designs now!! Brr!!

Hui's 22nd Bday! Part 3: Actual Celebration at Fullerton

Celebrated Hui's 22nd birthday at Town Restaurant, Fullerton Hotel!

Have been searching for a place with nice ambience and happen to come across this restaurant! I reserved for both the indoor and outdoor seat cause i couldn't decide which to choose. This was supposed to be a surprise dinner, so i didn't let Hui know where i was bringing him! Hehe..

We went down to ECP in the afternoon with Maxus for the World Animal Day event, Paws at the Beach 2!
Saw a 'giant' husky and shetland! Really big! Surprisingly, Maxus was quite frighten! Haha.. We walked around and saw some fellow spitz owner, some of the spitz looks kind of weird.. There's one which has the same built as maxus, but with a smaller head! LOL

We head back home around 4+, cause the dinner was at 7pm..

As planned, i drove Hui to the "mystery place" for dinner!
He was quite shock when i told him that we are heading to Fullerton..
Cause all along he thought that i'm bringing him somewhere at Clarke Quay.. hehe

We decided to take the outdoor seat in the end, cause the ambience was better, though there were passerby walking pass while we eat.. it was still good..

I found the variety of food pretty good..
Crayfish, Mussels, Oyster, Prawns, Lamb Chop (which taste really good), Sushi, Spagetti, Bittergourd w/ Pork Rib soup (superb!), Drunken Prawn (very nice as well!), Scallop, Century Egg w/ Chicken Congee (best i have ate!), Pastries, etc...

I didn't have the chance to take much picture of the food.. :(

Its finally Thursday! 1 more day to the weekend! But theres class tmr... so its kind of sian.... zZz..

My recent posts have been very emo and depressing..
At one point of time, i thought everything will just end there...
But i'm glad we talk things out and things are back to normal..
But i'm not sure if this is just the temporary solution, i hope i'm not avoiding certain issues..

I guess being together for too long, things become rather boring and we tend to avoid certain problems..
I've always think that things may be better if we were to meet later and be together at a later stage of our lives..

I have heard of so many couples who broke off after 7-8 years of relationship..
All the while i try not to believe the fact that we need to bring the relationship to a next level (e.g. marriage) in order to sustain it, cause i always have the idea that if you can't get along as a couple, things still wouldn't work out even after you got married..

But i guess i was wrong, maybe a married couple will work harder to spice things up, have more goals to work towards to together..

Sometimes, i hope i can just put down certain things and not ponder about it..
But i guess its just me, i tend to think of the negative side, prepare for the worst, cry over certain silly issues, make a big fuss out of someting small..

I choose to stay away not because i'm anti-social, but i guess we both need time for each other to bring back certain feelings.. I'm happy that i have Maxus with me, cause i know he's one of the source to our happiness..

I hope certain things i do will touch your heart..

Like what i say, things my change, but i guess certain feelings will never change..
It may end one day, but i'm sure that feeling will stay this way..

WAH its damn sian ah!!

I need some place to rant before i explode!!

Its such a fuck up day!!

It really makes me wonder whether i'm the one who screwed things up or is it because i trust the wrong people...

I thought i did the right thing, but in the end i'm the one who's at fault.. WHY!?

I realised keeping quiet and not mixing around makes me a happier person.. ??

I have to admit that i can't take criticism..
I don't like it when people try to judge me..
I guess theres no one in this world who can understand me.. Not even Hui..
Sometimes all i need is just somebody to listen and to give me some advise and not to lecture me..
I just need the comfort and assurance, not some random comment..

I tried hard to fit into other people's life
I tried to be perfect..
I tried to understand..
But at the end of the day, i guess its just back to square one..
I'm one lonely soul which nobody understood..
I'm tired..

I'm finally back to blog after so long!

Life is still the same... Work, School, Hui and Maxus!
Theres really nothing much to look forward seriously, on one hand, i'm hoping that my Year 1 can end quickly, so i can take a short trip somewhere, on the other hand i'm super scared of taking the exams! Especially when i know i have not done much revision...

My 3 days sch week is starting soon... come mid Sept, my first two modules will be 'over' (in the sense that the classes are finish and not the EXAM).. and i will be starting three fresh modules... Hai....

Ok putting this aside, i'm glad that i finally got my Agnes B tote!!

And presenting to all of you, my mini 'collection'.. hehe

And I don't think i will be getting the Marc Jacobs bag anymore since my phone is officially 'dead' months ago, i need a new phone badly! I wanted to get Omnia, but i don't tink its justifiable to pay so much for a phone... nvm i shall check out the price again come Oct when my contract ends..

I have also been checking out Digital Photo Frame lately, find it pretty interesting cause i can insert pictures into a SD card and just load the pics in like a slideshow! i tink its a good idea since i don't develop the photos taken using digi cam... but as usual, i'm not keen to pay $199 for it too.. hehe

Maybe its just me, i've nv been that generous when it comes to gadgets.. wah haha

And the thought of job-hopping has been going through my mind for months... I find it so 'saddening' when ppl around me earn few hundreds more than me when we're doing almost the same stuff.. but i just cant take the risk to leave and get another job since i'm taking my part-time studies now... How!?!?

Anyway, Maxus has been a naughty boy these days!
Being a big boy now, he starts to mark his territory in the house!
So irritating and sickening! We tried the hard way by beating him and locking him in his cage, but it doesn't work at all. So now i'm trying the 'softer' way by scolding him and at the same time trying to convince myself that he did this cause he was feeling insecure(this was what i read from the net)..

Hui and i brought Maxus to East Coast yesterday for a walk, we decided to walk there instead of driving cause maxus has been shedding quite a bit lately.. But it was quite fun cause this boy can run around and explore new places!

We came home at 5+, had our dinner and watch some tv shows...
Wanted to meet up with Drk and Jo, but decided not to in the end since we all have no place to go..
BUT! Hui and i went 511 for the mee-sua and then to HK cafe for some teh-si and butter thick toast!! and we went ECP after that to see if we can catch some couples in action! hahaha..

We did saw some stuff, but too bad we didn't caught any in action! But Hui was so happy, i dunno why.. hahaha.. its like a misson complete for him..

Ok thats about it, nothing much to update about also...

I don't have the mood to work!

So here i am, blogging!!
But come to think of it, since when do i have the mood to work? Hahaha..

Its week 5 of school! And i haven been revising consistently... most of the time, i will just finish half of the tutorial and just go for the next lesson... I don't even have the mood to read through the notes!

Frankly speaking, i really don't have the self-discipline to make sure that i get my ass down on the chair and study for a few hours before i relac tampo..

I know that if i don't start studying now, i will definitely screw up my exams!!

HOW AH!?

Although i'm taking my degree now, but seriously i don't even dare to tell ppl that i'm a Uni Underagrad.. It seems so weird to me... Maybe to me, SIM isn't as prestigious as our local Uni, therefore i have nv dare to admit that i'm a undergrad..
Kind of weird huh ?

But anyway, i hope that 2009 can come quick!

Some random updates!

After searching for so long, i finally found the T-bars sandals that i like!!
Few weeks back, i saw one from Pazzion but didn't get it! So last friday when i went window shopping with Hui, i saw that particular pair of sandals again! I reserved for my size and went to get it on wed!

But!! I didn't got the pair tt i reserved initially! I bought these 2 pairs instead!

Yesterday, Jess and i meet up and we went to chiong pazzion!!
Jess got the gold sandals that i bought on Wed.. and i cant resist and got this pair of sandals that i reserved initially the other day, but in silver!

I dunno why but i just cannot resist gold and bling stuff! Hehe..

My bro got me this for my 21st bday a few mths back!

The gift jess got for me when she went HK last mth!

Nancy got me 1 box of mask and a pair of ear-studs when she went TW 1-2mths back!

Got my colleague to get this PTU Teddy for me when she went HK for a conference..

We brought Maxus to PetGaMart for a swim last Sunday!

HAPPY 8years 6months ANNI to HUI!

Sch has started for 2 weeks already! Coming monday will be the third week.

Time really flies..

Its quite tiring to work and study at the same time. But i'm glad that Hui and I are both taking the same module for our first year.. So its not as bad, cause i know i have his company!

I feel so tired mentally after every lesson, cause the lecturers have been bombard-ing us with tonnes of stuff! We try to set aside our Sundays for revision and self-study, but it didn't work out cause we have been slping at 6am in the morning for the past 2 weekends..

My cheesy fuzzy wizzy Maxus has been very well-behaved these few weeks and having him to welcome us home everyday is really heart warming..

Okay, i shall be back again to blog about Des's Before-Enlistment chalet! =D

Bangkok Shopping Hunts

I'm back to blog about the BKK trip again!

Have to note down certain stuff in case i forget! hehe..

Heres the review of all the shopping places i went to throughout the 6D5N!

Platinum Mall: This is absolutely a shopping paradise for girls! I bought 3/4 of my stuff from there. On average the clothes are mostly less than S$10... You can find clothes, bags, earring stand, anna sui inspired brush holders, accessories all in the mall! You can bargain a bit there, but not too much, they do have wholesale prices and usually its about 100baht difference per piece. Theres a foodcourt upstairs where you can makan at, the food are cheap, but i wouldn't say it taste great.. hehe.. A must-go if you have limited time in bkk!

Chinatown (Sum Peng Lane): Read from forum that this place has a lot of stalls selling cheap accessories and bags, however i couldn't find such stalls and there was nothing much there for me to buy actually. Theres this shop selling lots and lots of belt at wholesale price, pretty cheap but the design aren't that nice. Hehe.. Theres also this lane which sells lots of cute softtoys, hello kitty products and anna sui inspired brush holders! So if thats what you're looking for, you can drop by chinatown to take a look! After your shopping, you can even stop by Nan Xing restaurant or some other stall for bird nest!

Memorial Bridge Night Market: This night market is about 15mins from Chinatown. The best night market among the few that i went. Hui bought a few shorts from there, exactly the same as what he got in japan (2nd hand store) but only at around S$5! This is also the place where we got the cute hand-made nano/handphone pouch for 20baht! I would say this is a night market worth going! A must-go! But one thing to note, you will need to spend some time browsing the stalls one by one, instead of walking through the stretch of stalls quickly, you may miss out some good stuff!

ChaTukChat: Although there has been review that there isn't much to buy from CTC, but i don't think that apply to Hui and I! hehe.. we went there for 2 consecutive days (Sat & Sun from 11am-3pm!) We comb through quite a number of sections and i have to say the pets section is really a "WOW wu AH!".. hahaha.. the puppies are all very cute and the dog stuff are really cheap! We got this Jerhigh snacks for Maxus at only S$1+ per pack! When s'pore is selling it for S$4+/pax! The dog's shoes, clothings and harness are all like 1/10 of S'pore price!

For those who are only there to shop for your own stuff, i highly recommend that you comb through Section 1-4!!! Thats where i got my bags and some clothes! hehe..
But i'll have to say, the clothes there are slightly more exp as compared to platinum mall..

If you're looking for some place to rest and have your lunch, you can look for this 'shop' that sells Teppanyaki! The cleanest among all the food stalls and its rather cooling inside also.. But the food is quite expensive, about 100baht for a set meal and 23baht for a bottle of drink!

Suan Lom Night Market: We took a cab there and i'm not quite sure wheres the place exactly. There wasn't much to buy there, but i managed to get my heels! One for 330baht and another for 550baht! It was much cheaper as compared to the heels in CTC! Cos i was quoted 850baht for those nicer designs.. We spent about 1-2hours there and most of the stuff can be found elsewhere. I would prefer the Memorial Bridge night market to this. =)

Siam Area / Siam Centre / Siam Paragon: You can find lots of stalls at a few lanes within Siam Area, the clothes are not bad, but i didn't get anything from there. Siam Centre and Siam Paragon are for Mid-High end shopping, nothing to buy unless you're looking for branded stuff.

Dinner at Dairy Queen - Siam Centre

Central World Plaza: 5-10mins walk from Platinum Mall. A shopping centre similar to Vivocity i would say. Theres 2 Naraya Shops inside the mall, so if you're their die-hard fan, you can chiong all the naraya stuff there! Theres also a Anna Sui counter selling bags and wallets in the Isetan! Bought my bras from there cause there was a sale going on! We had our lunch at this Shabu Shabu restaurant, its a conveyor-belt concept buffet steamboat @ Level 5 or 6! Approx S$10+/pax and its eat all you can!! Its quite worth the money i would say!

We also caught a movie in the mall, the cinema is a lot better than Singapore's! They have diff types of theatre for you to choose from, you can choose to get the bean-bag seat, sofa seat, deluxe seat or normal seat theatre! The sofa seat tix cost abt S$20+/pax, really exp! So Hui and I got the normal seat, which is abt S$5/pax! The seat is almost the same as The Cathay or maybe slightly more spacious!

Khao San Road night market: Its just a stretch of road with a lot of pubs, nothing much to BUY or SEE. A total waste of time. Was there for at most 20mins and we decided to head back to the hotel.

MBK: A shopping mall that have quite a few shops selling replicas. The clothes are not as nice as platinum mall and other places. Nothing much to buy. The top level sells alot of eletronic goods, Iphone, ITouch, PSP, etc. But i'm not quite sure if its cheaper than SG. There are also lots of eateries in the mall! So its a good place for you to just shop around and have your meal!

Plaza 29: A 3 or 4 storey 'mall'. You can find manicure/pedicure service at one of the level. Its linked to MBK. So once you exit from MBK (you can see a Information Counter at the exit) to plaza29, you can find all the mani/pedi saloon there. Read from forum that most of the girls went there for their manicure! They do have some shops selling clothes too!

Pratunam Night Market: This is the night market located just outside our hotel. Its very similar to our pasar-malam. But some ppl said that theres alot to buy from there! Not quite sure is it because we didn't explore the place thorough enough.

I would love to go back to bkk again for some massive shopping!!

Baiyoke Boutique

Heres a short review of the hotel i stayed at in Bangkok!

Our 'home' for the 6D5N! hehe.. Room 504!

Its located at Pratunam, just behind Baiyoke Sky Hotel.
10mins walk to Platinum Mall and 15mins walk to CentralWorld.
There will be stalls set up in the morning and night.. So you can still do some shopping if you're bored at night! but frankly speaking, the clothes aren't very nice for my liking.. hehe

We paid around S$360 for 5 nights!

Executive Deluxe Room..

Hairdryer is available in the room! so you don't have to bring your own.. hehe
The room looks kind of dark, but when u turn on all the lights, its still bright enough... I love the cozy feeling of the room!

The bathroom wasn't very nice, it was very simple but clean!

Personally i find that the pictures of the room posted on the internet looks exactly the same in real life!
Forgot to take pictures of the hotel lobby, but it looks decent too! LOL

The corridor on the different levels are all decorated with different wallpapers.. kind of special i feel.. hehe..

The breakfast was okay... not too bad... but not too good either.. wah hahaha

Okay thats about it.. will be back to do a short review on the places i went to for shopping!
